Joey, I'm watching the Jay Z charity concert at MSG right now & thinking about all the rap CDs we used to buy. Wondering whether you'd like the stuff Jay Z puts out now...what your favorite CD would be currently and all that stuff. Then it makes me start thinking about other random things and what your thoughts would be...or ARE about them and I wish I can share conversations with you about all of it - sports, music, work, drinking...even a little politics. And I realize (and everyone realizes) how much we truly miss having you around. 8 years later & this morning, when Joseph's school had a moment of silence when we were dropping the boys off, the emotions were there as strong as ever. And to be honest, it was reassuring to me because it means your memory carries on and always will. Please continue to live in the hearts and minds of your parents, siblings, and relatives and to all your buddies. Miss you, Joey.

Here's to hoping that Manny and The Dodgers don't let it all slide away in that NL West, J.D. (A Yankee-Dodger series: it's gotta happen!!) My thoughts are with The Doyle Family today- along with all of the others who were affected by the events of 8-years ago. On some days, it feels like an eternity ago, on others- it feels just like yesterday. (Know that memories of you on the mound, or out having a good time make it all clear as day though.)
