Big JD

Can't believe it has been 10 years. I still remember all of the great times we had and love hearing all of the funny stories other people share.

That morning of 9/11 I called you and asked if you knew where Ed McCaffrey's leg was. He was a roto stud back then (pretty sure your 2nd round pick) and I got the typical JD angry roto response followed by a hang-up. Most of our friends will know how funny these JD rants were. I will always remember our last convo and always tell that story at the roto draft.

You are missed every day and will never be forgotten. Keep looking over everyone.

I hope everyone gets together tomorrow not to be sad but to reflect on those who lost their lives 10 years ago and remember all the good things and good memories of them.

Don't and I repeat don't be sad or scared as that is what those terrorists want/wanted.

Show them that we are strong and that we will not feel sad or be scared.

P.S.

Was McCaffrey even that good in roto back then ?

A little while ago tonight was the exact 10 year anniversary of Ed McCaffrey breaking his leg on Monday Night Football. I'll never forget that because (who else?) YOU owned him, so I had to call you. You didn't pick up (miserable?) and that would have been our last talk, you b******. Anyway, we're thinking of you, man, and not just when the day rolls around.

10 years tomorrow is the remembrence of 9/11

The first year felt like forever and the next 9 years went so quickly my opinion

One thing never changes though and that is the smile on your face that we all loved and remember you for

As everyone has said and will say going forward "You will never be forgotten" and we are all not just saying this to say it we all mean it

God Bless everyone and anyone that was lost on the day of those cowardly attacks by the terrorist

P.S.

How an establishment that has been around since the early 1900's does not have proper tv service in their party room is beyond me

Big JD,

As I am sure you watched in disgust from up above we had our AWFUL JD Football Leauge draft last night at an absolutely terrible venue. I do not want to name names of who is to blame but his intials might be somehthing like JMS. Anyway, you are still greatly missed and I would have loved to share some mozz stixx with you if someone would have ordered them...dammit. Miss you guy..

Cait - thats a pretty awesome post. It is wonderful to see that not only are his friends and family thinking of Joey but people everwhere. You definitely were lucky to get JD on your bracelet as he was a special guy. I am sure he is looking out for you.
All the best!

Hello,

You don't know me but my name is Cait and I currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I was in 8th grade when the attacks of September 11 occurred. Being so young, it was hard to process the magnitude of what was happening that day but, the one thing I vowed to never do was forget. Shortly after, I went to a local jewlery store and purchased a 9/11 memory bracelet. The associate handed me my bracelet and it read the name Joseph Doyle. I wear that bracelet every September as a way to honor him. I had never known about this website until a couple days ago when I decided to do some research to see what I would find. I very much enjoyed reading about what a wonderful person Joey was and all the great memories that still live on to this day. Even though I never knew him, his name has always provided me with a great amount of inspiration and even more so now knowing he worked in the financial world. I too work at an investment firm.

As the tenth anniversary of 9/11 approaches, I just want friends and family of Joey to know that there are many of us in Albuquerque who are sending our thoughts and prayers your way. Joey sounds like an incredible person and I am extremely honored to be able to wear his name in memory.

With love,

Cait
