Happy Birthday, Dear Son! I see you are loved as much as my family loved our Liz (Elizabeth Darling, my granddaughter). She was on the 97th floor wtc north (Marsh McClennon). Tears frequently well in my eyes about her, but we plan to see her later in God's heaven. Hope to see you there, too. Love and peace to your family. May they carry on!
(P.S.: Found out about you indirectly through the efforts of Globalpeacenow to locate family members interested in going to Spain to support the Spanish in their anguish and time of need.)

Hey Joey Joey Joey, I am sitting in my office just thinking about the old days, and with that tears came to my eyes. But immediately a big smile came to my face when I remembered your father talking to me about the sled that was broken in front of his house at Christmas time. All he kept on saying was Scott's kids broke it!! I heard this over and over until Your buddy Jimbo confessed and said " JD " thought he was Santa Claus one night after A few rounds of Brewski's. Well you can just imagine the laughter that brought visualizing you in the sled, breaking it as Santa. That was just one time Dad and I laughed between the tears, and you can bet it will always happen again and again!! Hey Joe, got to go back and make believe I'm working!! Miss you!

What a beautiful tribute to an obviously much missed and loved son.
We lost our cousin Frank Munoz on 9/11 too.
I've posted his picture here. I hope Joey and Frank are hanging out together in Heaven. By the looks of your photos, they could've been good friends.
Good Bless you and your family.

I received an email with this web link at the bottom and so I decided to take a look. This is a beautiful tribute to an obviously wonderful person who so sadly was taken away on that terrible day. My heart goes out to the whole Doyle family and my prayers are with you all not only for this holiday season but everyday.
I am also from Staten Island and also a '90 graduate of Wagner, I wish my path had crossed with Joey as he he seems to have been an absolutely wonderful person. Keep up the faith and remember always. thanks for letting me get to know him a little through this sight.

Stumbled across this site quite accidently, never crossed paths with Joey... till I came upon this site. What a wonderful tribute to a well-loved person, lost far too soon. Thank you for supplying the opportunity to 'meet' Joey Doyle.
I will remember.
Every life lost on September 11th, name known or not, shall never be forgotten.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Joey's loving family and friends during this holiday season... it is so touchingly obvious how this amiable individual is still very much missed by them all.
Stay strong...

Hey Joey,
It's over 2 years now and this website is still going strong, What a wonderful tribute this website is! Although I knew that you were a funny and crazy person, I never could have imagined how many lives you touched. It is unfair to us that we lost you but I believe that God spared you of a long life here because you accomplished so much in such a short time. You completed your journey here and now are reaping the rewards! I know that you continue to watch over us and that although you had such a fun time here, that doesn't scratch the surface of the awesome trouble-free life you are living in heaven! Miss you lots and love you.
Until we meet again.......

Hey pal its been two years too long that you been gone. The last time i seen you and you were so excited about your new job and we were gonna get together. I am sorry to have never had that chance it seems like its been to long but to all the fun times we had playing basketball and football on noel and eyelandt street i was always the worst athlete out of everyone but you still would pass me the ball and then get mad at me for chucking up one of my trademark jumpers. You truly are the man when it comes to sports and you are loved adored and missed by many people kid. Hopefully one day we can all meet up again and play some ball. You will never be forgotten by anyone pal and here is to peace love and happiness for all your family and friends GOD Bless to all family and friends. i hope the packers have a good year. R.I.P JD

I had the privilege of coaching Joe for a couple of years in federation. There's lots of things I remember about Joe ... his toughness on the mound (he was a real bulldog) ... that great curve ball that sent many hitter back to the dugout shaking their heads ... and the fact that his dad brought a radar gun to some of the games! That was bigtime and it always drew a crowd behind home plate. But most of all I remember the smile and the fun-loving nature of Joe Doyle.
To Mr. and Mrs. Doyle (two of the most generous people to our Lt. Lia program): we pray for you on a regular basis ... for God's comfort and for continued wonderful memories of your son.

To the Doyle family and all of Joey's close friends and former teammates of mine, I want you to know my prayers are with you all. I was telling my wife stories about our Lia days and how Joey was at the center of all the fun we had. It is a testimony to the radiant personality of Joey that this living tribute continues now and on into the future. It is obvious that the life of Joey will continue to give into the future, whether through a kid being able to go to college due to the scholarship fund, or in his friends staying close for the rest of their lives. God Bless the work you guys are doing in keeping this website up and running, it is awesome and has sparked some great memories of the life Joey lived.

To all of Joey's family and friends, I extend my heart felt sympathy. Every person lost on 9-11-01 is tragic, but from the pictures and messages on this site, I gather that the loss of Joey is especially sad. The world would be a better place with him, than without.
I would like to know what Joey's father was about to say in the interview on Fox and Friends about Al Gore's knowledge of (?) something. The interview was interrupted and he did not get to finish his comment. Can someone respond?

Joe,
Just wanted to take a moment to let you know, on behalf of Gordy and myself, how much you are sorely missed. You are not just remembered today, but thought of each and every day.
I do not have as many funny stories to share (although as I write this a few come to mind) as I'm sure Gordy could. And maybe if we can update him to the 21st century, he will post a few himself. But I am sure he shares them with you in his own personal way, as you and I both know he is not the type to wear his emotions on his sleeve.
So many things have changed for all of us over the past two years... engagements, weddings, new babies, new jobs, new homes. But one thing remains constant -- the pain of sharing these things with eachother without you there. I am sure you are looking on with pride that you are the reason so many of us have developed the strong friendships that bring us together.
You are in our hearts today and always.
Love and Friendship,
Laur and Gordy

I have just read a brief from one of Joey's friends on the homepage i stated above. Mind you I have never met either Joey or "Shiggy Shaol" as he goes by on Footballguys.com. My heart goes out to all that knew Joey has he sounds like a cool guy. A quick story about 9/11 for me was that it was my last semester in college... until going back to school. I graduated from UWGB and am going back to school to become a high school teacher. I am living my dreams because people like Joey give inspiration to all everyday. On this eve of the two year occurence my thoughts are with his parents mostly but to all who knew him as well. Live life to the fullest... that is one lesson I learned from all of this.

Another summer almost in the books with the closing party this weekend. The normal antics went down as usual and I am sure you remember them well. Took over the shore. Took over the corner. Watched Carolina make us drinks... Good time. Drink all day drink all night. BBQs. Forgetting to sleep. The "HEYS". Fat Mike sightings. Sick dance moves. Party Party!!! (I will let you in on this one day) All of it was great but once again it was missing something... the JOEBOT!
I can't believe it has been this long but my feelings and thoughts are still the same. You are a special person. I hope you are doing well and looking down upon us because Lord knows some of us need it.
I will have a couple I mean several drinks for you this weekend.

TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF JOEY on 9/11/03 My heartfelt sympathy to all of you. I didnt know him personally but he was a great friend of my son Greg Diaz who will never forget him. God Bless You.
When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me And I'm not there to see If the sun should rise and find your eyes All filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry The way you did today While thinking of the many things We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me, As much as I love you, And each time that you think of me I know you'll miss me too
But when tomorrow starts without me Please try to understand That an angel came and called my name And took me by the hand
And said my place was ready In heaven far above And that I'd have to leave behind All those I dearly love
But when I walked through heaven's gates I felt so much at home When God looked down and smiled at me From His great golden throne
He said, "This is eternity And all I've promised you Today for life on earth is past But here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow For today will always last, And since each day's the same way There's no longing for the past.
So when tomorrow starts without me Don't think we're far apart, For every time you think of me I'm right here in your heart.

NWA Joe, that's what I used to call you. I remember quite a few times driving you and Thomas and whoever else didn't have a ride home from Tobacco, Atlantis, or wherever the night took us. Through Thomas is how I met you, and we still talk about you and smile. You always had a way of making me laugh even when I was in my worst mood. I remember the night you did "Saturady Night Fever" dancing in the middle of the dance floor in Atlantis just to amke me smile (and you did) I think of you often. You are loved and missed by many, myself included. Thomas misses you terribly too. Til we meet again Joe, keep singing at the top of your lungs! I still can't listen to Saturady Night Fever without crying or NWA without laughing. I miss you pal. Love always, Dawn

Dear Joey,
Just wanted to let you know that Lisa and Billy's wedding was amazing, but there was one thing missing...you. Even though you were not physically with us I know your spirit was. I just wanted to remind you of how much we all miss you, especially your family... they are all so strong and brave...even though they all miss you greatly, they honor you daily & I see you when I look into their eyes. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you, sometimes I talk to you but I don't know if you can hear me, but somehow I think you hear me now. Everyone loves you and misses you...p.s. happy late birthday
Love, Jennifer

Joe- I been looking at this site for a while, and always wondering what to say, I miss you buddy, and am always thinking about you. Ill be having a few drinks and thinking to myself "man this place would be alot better if Joey were here to brighten it up." Joey a new football season isnt far away, see if you can pull something off similar to that movie "angels in the outfield" and make the Packers win a super bowl for me buddy!! Joey you are one person who Ill never forget, although I was only there a handful of times I cant get JD's happy hour out of my head, every time I go to new jersey thats what I think of, and also how you tortured Drunk Eddie for destroying your house with cheeze doodles. I can say it enough, Joey I miss you alot, and your always in my thought and prayers. (dont forget about the thing with the packers, Im counting on you buddy)
